See me as I am. Time has made me resilient and strong. Do not treat me as if I am invisible or hide me
away because you do not see the beauty of youth. Within me exists a deeper beauty that comes from
living a full and passionate life.
I started several businesses: from a lobbying firm representing steel mills and railroads to a
construction company building affordable housing. I raised boys who grew into marvelous strong
men, that I couldn’t be more proud of. Now, because of the pandemic, they say I am vulnerable and
old. I say I may be older than I once was but that gives me the wisdom to know that this too shall
pass, and we will see spring again.
