With age comes freedom
Good days are when I experience a kind of reckless abandonment that permeates my entire being. It occurs most frequently when I am in my studio, and I mix a little “I don’t give a rats-ass” with an “urgent need to fix the world “. If you look closely, you will also see a touch of hope. We all need hope. Art is my voice and how I try to make a difference.

Feeling Our Age
Sixty brave women wrote, in their own words, about their challenges and reflections at being their age. They talked about what they have done and what they plan yet to do. They are risk-takers, vibrant, loving, and have much to offer the world. I am hopeful that together we can change what needs to be changed, and that these women, and their wisdom, will make you feel hopeful too.

Global Flux
“Global Flux” is about destruction and regeneration of a world in change. My art is a response to what is occurring around me. Sometimes what I see emerges as literal and realistic, but more often, these ideas appear as jumbled up images and feelings that penetrate every part of my being. I struggle to give these ideas form and express them in a ways that will provoke others to think about our changing world. Art is my voice. Fear of the unknown often result in building barriers. I believe art has the capacity to break down barriers and generate connections and hope.

Grid of 18
Grid of 18 is part of the “Global Flux” Collection and intended to be a series of paintings that are displayed together. The paintings are all painted on handmade paper with beeswax, thread, and other organic materials. They were painted at the time of the fires and turmoil in Los Angeles and the middle east and reflect a overwhelming feeling of despair and hope.

Natural World
Trees, water, flowers, all of the natural world contribute to our health and well being. Yet, it is easy to get too busy to appreciate the ways that nature energizes our life. We all see the world differently at different times. This collection of work is what I see when I slow down and take a deep breath. I hope they encourage you to do the same.
